Finally, there’s plenty of misery as the guys cover Starrcade 1998, where Jerry Flynn is in the semi main, Norman Smiley wiggles awfully against Prince Iaukea, and Kevin Nash ends the streak of Goldberg and becomes WCW World Champion. How awful was it? Ruin your Christmas and find out!!!
Maybe the last show ever in Studio B. Matt and Kevin talk about the holidays, then have an extensive conversation about WWE TLC & Monday Night Raw. Smackdown starts and the boys get a little distracted, a mic breaks, so they take a break. Plus, no one really cares about Shane McMahon, although Tony thinks Stephanie is doing her best to build something. Plenty of coverage of Impact follows, along with Kevin and Matt’s adventures buying action figures at the local toy fair. Terrible news regarding Rockin’ Rebel and his wife, Brian Christopher arrested for trying to skip on his hotel bill, and Lio Rush gets the call to 205 Live. Bear Bronson, current CAP Champion, calls in to discuss his upcoming match at WrestlePro against Dan Maff and his title defense against Johnny Clash, as well as tons of other topics, including the great crop of new talent coming through CAP, the guys that are currently there, and more. Then the Abominable CPA joins Tony to talk about CAP’s Thy Kingdom Come show, where he and Kip Stevens defend the CAP Tag Titles against the Shook Crew. But the two talk about a myriad of other topics as well, including the Mets, Mr. Bungle and Faith No More, Columbia House Club, DiscMans and iPods, relationships, Tinder, and so much more. Tony also drops a great t-shirt idea in his lap. Plus as a special bonus we hear from Matt and Phil Raia. Enjoy!
The Two Man Group is back for your post-Memorial Day chill out. After copious amounts of weather and holiday banter, Kevin counts down all of the Money in the Bank cash-ins, from worst to best. While the guys try to remember some of them, there’s a general consensus that, for once, WWE actually got one right. They cover some news and notes, including Big Show passing the big man torch to Braun Strowman, Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins having a great match at the Nassau Coliseum, what they can eventually do with the members of the New Day, the signing of Io Shirai by WWE, and potential opponents for Triple H five years from now, when he possibly calls it a career. Plus, what if there was a tag team called the Gondoliers? Who would play them? All this and MORE!
The guys hit up Studio A, and the big news is lots of money. One billion dollars from FOX to the WWE for SmackDown Live rights over five years. What does this mean for the business? We analyze possibilities for the future, all while watching WWE stock skyrocket! We check in on Matt Cappotelli and Tom Magee. Tony watches Lou Thesz vs Ray Gunkel from the Sportatorium in 1951, where Thesz wins the second fall with a pioneering maneuver. Tony also watched CMLL and was pretty impressed with the action and the appearance of Caristico. Max Caster, fresh of his appearance on RAW, joins the boys to talk about his career in the ring as well as his rap career and his gender fluidity. Have you slammed your grandma lately? There’s RAW talk, there’s Impact talk, there’s podcasting talk, and so much more!!!!
It’s another action-packed episode of the Shining Wizards! The boys talk about All In and which talent brought the fans to the yard, a true sellout in about a half an hour. The Roman Reigns experiment has failed and is over, at least according to Tony. Kevin and Matt believe he’s in a better place moving down to a feud with Jinder. Ronda Rousey doesn’t earn a title shot against Nia Jax, but she’s getting one anyway at Money in the Bank. Brock Lesnar is close to breaking CM Punk’s 434 day title reign, but his numbers just don’t match up. Justin Credible tweets some horrible news about his wife. AJ and Nakamura have a match to decide about another match. We are introduced to the talented Jason Saenz and his great music. All this and more!
The boys are back in Studio A and they’re wreaking havoc and turning wrestling talk upside-down! Once again, Matt professes his love for Nia Jax and Tony says otherwise. Of course, conversation turns to Paige (lol) before the conversation moves to the Greatest Royal Rumble! Where does Titus O’Neil’s slide rank in the history of botches? What else happened to make the show botcheriffic? Kevin felt the need to revisit the 1992 Royal Rumble and once again argue that there was no way Tito Santana could’ve been World Champion. So Tony brings it back to 1988 and the World Title tournament from WrestleMania 4 and who could’ve been champion from that list. Matt desperately tries to take us back to the 1990s but gets sidetracked about Ahmed Johnson, and discussion turns to whether he was destined to be World Champion. As you can see, there’s a theme. But don’t fret! There’s also coverage of Backlash! Plus, Matt feels the need to attack the IWC, of course. It’s a great time.
The Two Man Group is back! Kevin and Tony talk about the passing of the Living Legend, Bruno Sammartino, sharing some interviews, stories, facts, and tidbits.
