I've got two tools that are seemingly straightforward in helping you break any of your ingrained numbing habits, but it's going to require lots of practice to use them to your advantage. Breaking habituated patterns takes effort because most of the time it's happening unconsciously, and it often makes us feel anxious when we act against our own will, which is why these tools are going to be challenging but life-changing.

There is a downside to categorizing ourselves by personality tests and attachment styles. Before we learn to manage our thoughts and choose them on purpose, having a diagnostic of those thoughts can have a detrimental effect on our belief in our ability to change.
