This episode is a hot one as we've got Joe Pisapia on with us to give our bold predictions for the upcoming fantasy season. Do you believe that Saquon Barkley could finish outside the top six running backs (9:03)? Is Deshaun Watson going to outscore Patrick Mahomes (23:50), and what are the chances that Derrick Henry leads the league in rushing (46:29)? We're getting bold while backing up our predictions and close out the show with Tags and Joe facing off in Fantasy Feud (53:42).
NFC East Fantasy Preview + Best Draft Strategies (Ep. 352)
We're starting a new series breaking down each division's fantasy relevant players to provide a deeper dive into some names that you may not hear about as often. Is Michael Gallup being overlooked as the No. 2 in Dallas (6:40), who else is valuable in the Philly receiving corps (15:46), should you draft Jordan Howard/Miles Sanders (26:29), what about Adrian Peterson/Derrius Guice (31:32)? Get the lowdown on how to approach different draft strategies (44:14).
Brandon Funston of The Athletic joined us for some fun and we're mock drafting with Half-PPR settings to give you a look at our thought process when making picks. With the 2nd, 4th, and 5th picks, all three guys start off with running backs (6:14). Brandon gets his guy in the second round with Josh Jacobs (13:30) and we talk more about why he's the one guy he's going after in all drafts (55:09). Will there be enough targets in Houston for all three WRs (33:04) and Tags does the Vance dance (39:31).
We're continuing our preseason fantasy football coverage and in this episode, Denny Carter, owner of DraftDayConsultants.com, joins us to give the lowdown on who you can expect to bounce back after a down 2018. We go position-by-position starting with RB (4:57), WR (26:29), QB (47:33), and wrap things up at TE (54:58). Where will David Johnson finish among fantasy RBs (1:41), would you rather have Fournette or Bell for a full 16 games (6:24), and why are people sleeping on A.J. Green?
The guys and our guest, Pat Fitzmaurice of TheFootballGirl.com, break down the players at each position they think have the best odds of breaking out in 2019. Justin Jackson (9:35) and Darrell Henderson (15:14) are potentially an injury away from high-level production, but one of them may be overhyped. Has Phillip Dorsett (46:19) finally developed into a viable fantasy receiver, and would it be unwise to sleep on Jimmy Garoppolo's (56:31) upside?
Our duo is joined today by Rich Dotson, founder of DynastyNerds.com, and together they analyze the top dynasty values at each position. The guys debate on who has more dynasty value between Jameis Winston (10:09) and Matt Ryan (16:41) and then compare the long-term stock of James White (28:23) and Chris Carson (31:38). Is Jack Doyle's (46:04) price too low or just right? Does Marquise Brown (54:47) hold DeSean Jackson-like boom, or is he a dud in the making?
Early Overvalued & Undervalued QBs & TEs (Ep. 347)
In today's episode, we highlight the QB and TE rankings we disagree with the most. Is Ben Roethlisberger (6:03) exceptionally undervalued or highly overvalued, would it be wise to assume that Patrick Mahomes (14:29) will replicate last year's production, and is Baker Mayfield's (33:13) upside capped? Does Eric Ebron (45:42) have a chance at seeing 100 targets again, and how much value would Dallas Goedert (49:54) have if Zach Ertz was forced to miss time during the season?
Early Overvalued & Undervalued WRs w/ Jake Ciely (Ep. 346)
Jake Ciely from The Athletic is with the gang as they dissect the Expert Consensus WR rankings and decide who is too high and too low. While we can all agree that James Washington (38:02) is being criminally overlooked and that the fantasy community is taking Jarvis Landry (1:02:57) at his ceiling, who did we have dissenting opinions on? Tags is confident in DeVante Parker's (24:45) upside to Jake's chagrin, and Bobby defends Chris Godwin's (51:33) potential, but Tags isn't thrilled with his target volume.
Dynasty Mock Draft + Fantasy Feud w/ Andy Behrens (Ep. 345)
Our crew is joined by Yahoo's Andy Behrens and together we take part in a dynasty mock draft. Bobby nabs Christian McCaffrey (1:45) third overall, Tags takes Odell Beckham (1:57) fifth overall, and Andy selects DeAndre Hopkins (3:06) from the sixth spot. How much upside does Kyler Murray (21:00) have in Kliff Kingsbury's offense in the long term and when will 40-year-old QB Drew Brees (30:42) fall off the proverbial cliff? Towards the end, Andy faces off against Tags in our first ever Fantasy Feud (39:37)!
Early Consensus Overvalued & Undervalued RBs (Ep. 344)
We are joined by 2018's most accurate in-season expert, Matthew Hill from DataForce. Together, the trio examines which RBs may be ranked too high or too low on our half-PPR expert consensus rankings (ECR). The analysis is kicked off with diverging opinions on Damien Williams (8:08). Is the industry far too pessimistic on Leonard Fournette (16:38) and Ronald Jones (30:18), and is it a mistake to select Le'Veon Bell (45:51) within the top two rounds?
Mike Tagliere has taken the time to analyze every NFL team and break down which player on each squad is the biggest value in dynasty drafts relative to their ADP. Follow along as Bobby Sylvester tries to guess Tags' selection for each team. Is Drew Brees (15:58) nothing more than a glorified system QB, would any team pick up Tyreek Hill (31:46) if the Chiefs release him, and is JuJu Smith-Schuster (48:11) primed to regress this season?
Our hosts dive deep into the latest QB and TE rankings and analyze the fantasy impact of each head coaching change. Is Patrick Mahomes (4:31) locked in as the top QB, and what is it that early drafters are forgetting about Jameis Winston (13:27)? How much upside does Vance McDonald (32:53) possess, and what will Arizona's offense look like under Kliff Kingsbury (42:29) scheme?
David Dorey, co-founder of The Huddle, joins the fun as we take an in-depth dive through our latest RB and WR rankings. Leonard Fournette (10:50) has crazy potential, but how far does his risk push down his value? Will the Titans continue to use Derrick Henry (15:02) as their bonafide workhorse, and why is James White (26:31) so undervalued? Plus, what should fantasy owners expect from Robert Foster (41:35) in 2019 and just how much upside does Marquise Brown (50:00) have this season?
Davis Mattek from Swolecast hops into a mock draft with us on today's show. Tags kicks off the festivities by selecting Ezekiel Elliott (4:02) second overall, Davis nabs David Johnson (4:21) with the 10th pick, and Bobby swiped Travis Kelce (4:47) at the 12th spot. When should Tyreek Hill (9:58) be selected, can Evan Engram (22:37) be trusted despite his lack of efficiency, and is Kareem Hunt (32:43) even worth taking a chance on? At the end, the trio compares their draft grades and rosters (48:15).
The guys execute a dynasty rookie draft and analyze their picks along the way. Bobby takes N'Keal Harry (2:22) first overall, while Tags selects Josh Jacobs (2:59) second overall. Is the Rams' high selection of Darrell Henderson (13:39) an indication of how they feel about Todd Gurley's health, and how much long-term value does Ryquell Armstead (30:01) have as Leonard Fournette's backup? Listen until the end to find out who each of them selected!
Our duo has returned to provide their immediate insight on the NFL Draft. Josh Jacobs (6:13 and 9:22) should receive more volume than any other rookie RB. Is N'Keal Harry (23:41) primed to be the top dynasty rookie wideout? The Cardinals are motivated to give Kyler Murray (43:19) every opportunity to succeed. Was drafting T.J. Hockenson (52:49) eighth overall a wise move for Detroit, and what are our biggest takeaways from the draft outside of the skill position players (57:55)?
The NFL draft is now just days away and we're covering everything you need to know about what could go down on day one. Most people believe they know what's going to happen with the No. 1 pick, but we're talking through why Kyler Murray might be the guy (3:22). Draft day trades are a big part of the excitement and we're looking at what top 10 teams could make moves (9:44). We're closing out the show discussing the most popular prop bets (48:38).
The day we've all been waiting for is just about here as our favorite teams descend onto Nashville for the NFL Draft. Danny Kelly of The Ringer joins us on the pod as we tackle one final mock draft. We're playing GM, making trades, and picking players based on what we believe the teams will do come Thursday. What happens to the draft if the Cardinals take Bosa at 1 (6:28)? How far will Quinnen Williams fall (13:37), the Bills take the first wide receiver off the board (27:10)...
With each passing day, we get closer to the NFL draft. We’re continuing our positional coverage of the incoming rookies and we’re tackling the WRs (4:20) & TEs (40:46). Joining us to give his thoughts is Travis May of Rotoviz. Should Hakeem Butler be in the top tier (4:50) and who would the guys take as the top WR (9:31)? Does Parris Campbell deserve more attention (19:50)? Who are the deeper WRs to pay attention to (31:51) and which tight ends make the most impact for fantasy right away (40:59)?
With the NFL Draft less than a month away, we give an in-depth breakdown of the incoming RB and QB draft class. However, our duo kicks off this episode with their thoughts on the Jordan Howard trade (4:40) and the return of the listener mailbag (10:24). Is Miles Sanders (28:20) the best bet of all RBs to produce if he gets the chance to play, how much upside does Bryce Love (42:43) have, and should the Dolphins take Drew Lock (1:01:18) if he falls to them?
The NFL Draft is in under a month, but we're taking the opportunity now to start getting all dynasty players prepared as we take you through our thoughts while running two separate mock drafts. Before we jump into the fun, Jared Cook signed with the Saints (1:14) and Rob Gronkowski decided to retire (2:20). Find out how that impacts fantasy owners and what the tight end landscape now looks like. Should you go best player available or fill a position of need early on (14:23)?
2019 NFL Mock Draft: 1st Round with Trades (Ep. 332)
With the NFL Draft drawing ever closer, we simply couldn't resist the opportunity to do one ourselves. Paul Perdichizzi, co-host of the Saturday2Sunday Football Podcast, gets in on the action with us. Each of these guys is acting as the GM for these teams and selecting the guys they feel are the best fit for each team. Who does Arizona take first overall (4:03)? Plus, the Giants (9:28) and Dolphins (11:10) move up to grab quarterbacks, and Aaron Rodgers gets a new toy (55:58) late in the first round.
The guys examine both fantasy and reality's biggest winners and losers from the NFL free agency period. Playing in the Saints' offense is a huge boon to Latavius Murray's (7:14) value, and Damien Williams' (20:10) success late last season might have had more to do with the Chiefs' system than his talent. Baker Mayfield's (30:16) dynasty stock gets a big boost thanks to Odell Beckham Jr.'s arrival in Cleveland, but what exactly is the Giants' (56:52) vision for the future?
March Madness: Bracket Predictions, Upsets & Sleeper Picks (Ep. 330)
We've got a special episode just in time for the madness that is the NCAA Tournament. Joining us to help you nail your bracket picks is the crew from TeamRankings.com. Whether you're putting together your first bracket or are looking for some new strategies, find out how different contests may require different approaches (4:30). We're naming our favorite upsets (8:23) and which double-digit seeds could make it to the sweet 16 (18:00)? Virginia & Gonzaga are strong sleeper candidates to win it all (24:40).
Our dynamic duo conducts a mock draft for us now that the biggest fantasy-relevant free agents have signed with their new teams. However, we first break down Golden Tate's (2:37) new landing spot and how it affects his value. Tags then kicks off the half-PPR, 12-team draft by selecting Julio Jones 10th overall (4:16) and Bobby nabs Odell Beckham with the 12th pick (5:37). Does O.J. Howard (12:21) have more dynasty value than Travis Kelce and should redraft players fully avoid Kareem Hunt (22:24)?
OBJ Traded to the Browns + NFL Free Agency Reactions (Ep. 328)
The guys come together for a super-sized show to share their initial thoughts on every recent fantasy relevant transaction that has taken place. To lead off the show, we break down the Odell Beckham trade (4:04) and how it shakes up the fantasy landscape for both the Giants and Browns. How good of a fit are the Jets for Le'Veon Bell (17:18), will Nick Foles (29:50) succeed in Jacksonville, and what can we expect from John Brown (34:49) in Buffalo?
Antonio Brown to the Raiders: Instant Reaction (Ep. 327)
We give our quick thoughts on how the Antonio Brown trade affects the fantasy landscape. How will playing in Oakland affect his value (1:24), is JuJu Smith-Schuster's (7:35) value helped or hurt by Brown's departure, and are Ben Roethlisberger (10:40) and Derek Carr (12:11) starter-caliber fantasy quarterbacks in 2019?
We take a look at where 2019's top free agents might be heading this offseason alongside our guest, Eliot Crist from The Quant Edge. The guys predict where Antonio Brown (5:26) and Odell Beckham (10:18) may get traded to and discuss where Le'Veon Bell (21:41) could land. Would Tyrod Taylor (14:10) be a better fit for Jacksonville than Nick Foles (12:32), and are the Colts the best team for John Brown (33:50)?
NFL Combine Risers/Fallers + Kyler Murray Worth the Top Pick? (Ep. 325)
The combine has wrapped up and while some players will show off their measurables through pro days, we've now had a chance to combine our film reviews with raw measuring sticks for those that participated. Andy Singleton of Expand the Boxscore joins us to walk through all the key offensive positions of fantasy football and name the biggest risers and fallers at the RB (3:03), WR (13:06), QB (31:05) and TE (41:47) positions. Kyler Murray is taller than we thought & is he now worth the top pick (31:05)?
2019 NFL Combine Preview w/ Matt Waldman (Ep. 324)
Which players will we be watching at the combine, who has the most to prove, and what are the drills we should pay the most attention to? Matt Waldman of FootballGuys.com joins the fray to give his insight on all this and more. Which specific drill might be the best indicator of a wide receiver's ability to succeed at the next level (12:05), which version of Bryce Love (28:04) might the NFL see in 2019, and is Kyler Murray's (37:53) size a huge concern for him heading into the draft?
R.C. Fischer of Fantasy Football Metrics helps us kick off our draft coverage as we provide an overview of this draft class's most potentially impactful players at each skill position. Is there a possibility Josh Jacobs (3:43) may not be the top back in this class and is D.K. Metcalf (34:29) being overhyped? Plus, can any rookie QBs outside of Kyler Murray (56:04) make an immediate fantasy impact, and who would be the more desirable fantasy tight end between Irv Smith (1:02:55) and Noah Fant (1:04:09)?
The crew spends today's show largely discussing who dynasty leaguers should get rid of while they can and which players would be solid buys on the cheap. Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas (7:18) are two receivers who may not have much left in the tank, whereas Jameis Winston (27:33) is trending up thanks to a coaching change and solid surrounding cast. Plus, how does Joe Flacco's (34:17) arrival affect Denver's wideouts and what do we make of Cleveland's acquisition of Kareem Hunt (36:43)?
Top 20 Most Interesting Facts and Takeaways from 2018 (Ep. 321)
Our guys each give their top 10 favorite statistical takeaways from this past NFL season. Marcus Mariota's (10:47) vast number of passing yards per passing TD doesn't bode well for his 2019 production and Jameis Winston (14:24) is the ultimate gunslinger based on his air yard percentage. Jared Goff's (25:57) offensive line was a huge factor in his success and Christian McCaffrey (36:35) may struggle to come close to last year's record-breaking reception total.
Super Bowl Predictions, Prop Bets + DFS Must Plays (Ep. 320)
The biggest sports game in America takes place on Sunday and we're not only making our game predictions (25:42), but we're also running through our favorite prop bets that you can have some fun with yourself (9:13). If you're heading to a party, make sure to start/sit these snacks (1:45). Will Jared Goff throw an interception (20:44), what's the likelihood of Todd Gurley going over 3.5 receptions (24:15), and will Julian Edelman go over 80.5 yards (25:14)?
Our crew dives into their first fantasy mock draft of the 2019 fantasy football season. How early might Patrick Mahomes (7:03) get taken in drafts this season, how much value may Derrick Henry (20:32) lose in PPR formats, and does Andrew Luck have a better chance than Matt Ryan (33:33) to finish as a top-three QB? Was Ronald Jones' (43:25) poor rookie season a product of Dirk Koetter's scheme and can Marquez Valdes-Scantling (45:31 & 47:41) start the season as Green Bay's primary slot receiver?
We extensively pick apart both AFC and NFC Championship games from every angle and evaluate each relevant players' viability. How might the loss of Saints DT Sheldon Rankins affect the Rams' running game (11:56) and does Michael Thomas' (16:50) price hurt his viability in cash games. Also, does Patrick Mahomes' (29:29) relatively low price on DraftKings make him a no-brainer, is Julian Edelman (37:34) the perfect stack partner for DFS players who choose Tom Brady, and who are our locks of the week (49:26)?
We go headfirst into the action as we analyze each of this weekend's playoff games and identify which players are the best cash game or GPP options. You can't go wrong paying up for either Patrick Mahomes (5:04) or Andrew Luck (5:40) in cash games and both of their tight ends (21:08) figure to be the top two plays at the position. If you're unable to roster both Todd Gurley and Ezekiel Elliott (30:37) then which one should you spend big on and is it wise to fade Tom Brady (44:04) in the playoffs?
Today's show is spent diving straight into the first round of playoff games and giving our DFS thoughts on each relevant player in all four matchups. Andrew Luck (5:38) appears to be a must-play QB in what should be a high-scoring game, Ezekiel Elliott (31:24) should dominate against what has recently become a soft Seahawks run defense, and Melvin Gordon's (49:40) viability may come down to his health.
Early 2019 Rankings + Sleepers & Playoff Predictions (Ep. 315)
The crew shares their initial thoughts on their 2019 fantasy football rankings. How might the recent news regarding Antonio Brown (8:43) affect his draft stock, should fantasy owners still expect Christian McCaffrey (22:08) to handle the same workload next year, and how high should Travis Kelce (24:17) be taken? Is Aaron Rodgers (36:05) primed for a huge rebound, does Chris Godwin's (47:04) situation add to or take away from his sleeper status, and which teams do we pick to win every playoff game (54:47)?
Dan Harris joins the fun as we unite all three hosts for an end-of-season show filled with tons of laughs, pop culture references, and solid insight on some of fantasy football's top performers. When might Patrick Mahomes get drafted next year (10:28) and is Corey Davis (26:21) on the cusp of breaking out in 2019? Looking back upon the year that was, we examine who the top late-round sleeper (54:37) was and which athlete most deserved to be named the fantasy MVP (1:18:35).
In today's show, our crew shares their insight on their favorite cash and GPP plays for the final week of the NFL regular season. Travis Kelce (7:27 & 29:53) appears to be a must-play TE, C.J. Anderson's (14:40) matchup is slightly concerning, and Davante Adams' (20:47) consistency is worth paying up for. How good of a GPP play is DeAndre Hopkins (38:56) against Jalen Ramsey and is Aaron Rodgers (54:40) truly having a down year?
Week 16 Rapid Reaction + C.J. Anderson the League Winner (Ep. 312)
In our final Sunday recap show of the 2018 NFL season, we take a look at each game from Saturday and Sunday afternoon and analyze how the outcomes affect the fantasy landscape moving forward. One of the most surprising Championship Week performances was from C.J. Anderson (1:23), who was less than a week removed from being a free agent. Where might Baker Mayfield (20:03) and Amari Cooper (25:04) be drafted next season and is Carolina giving Christian McCaffrey (51:07) too many touches?
DFS Lineup Advice: Week 16 + Josh Gordon Leaves Pats (Ep. 311)
Joe Holka joins us today for our DFS show and chats with us about our top cash game and GPP plays. We give our thoughts on Josh Gordon (1:41) leaving the Patriots after violating the NFL's substance abuse policy again and later evaluate who might gain relevance with his departure (39:53). We debate Christian McCaffrey's (19:56) usefulness with Taylor Heinicke under center and the guys praise Davante Adams (31:58) as a top option this week. Who is the better play between Zach Ertz and Eric Ebron (42:57)?
Start/Sit: Week 16 Championship Advice w/ Jeff Ratcliffe (Ep. 310)
Jeff Ratcliffe from Pro Football Focus hops in with us as we break down our rankings and give our thoughts on which borderline players you should start and sit during the fantasy finals. How high should John Kelly (14:32) be ranked if Todd Gurley sits and what do we make of Mike Williams, Josh Reynolds (31:17), and Curtis Samuel (33:23) this week? Was it a mistake to draft Aaron Rodgers (40:57) early in drafts and what can we expect from him against the Jets?
Welcome to Championship Week! Our dynamic duo spends today's show examining the top spot-starts for the fantasy football finals. The guys debate whether John Kelly (12:05) should be this week's top pickup. DaeSean Hamilton's (30:21) high target volume when he starts makes him a viable WR option and Robby Anderson (36:36) can be relied upon as a desperation play because of his upside. The show concludes with a few interesting rounds of fact or fiction (49:31).
Congratulations if you survived week 15 as we saw some players get injured early, while others simply left owners out in the cold. Things weren't ugly everywhere though, as Kenny Golladay re-emerged in a plus matchup (33:02) and Derrick Henry went off again (50:34). We're going game by game discussing key takeaways and more importantly, what we can expect from all the key players heading into the championship round for most fantasy leagues.
Justin MacMahan from Daily Fantasy Insider joins the gang for today's show where we share our favorite DFS cash game and GPP plays at each position. Josh Johnson's (12:18) rushing may provide him a solid enough floor for both cash game and GPP use. Plus, Vernon Davis (45:31) still has a lot more gas left in the tank than you might think and Randall Cobb's (56:37) tasty DB matchup makes him an ideal tournament play. Lastly, can Zach Zenner (1:02:45) get enough touches to be a sneaky GPP option?
Joe Pisapia, author of the Fantasy Black Book series, hops in with us as we scour through our fantasy rankings and break down which borderline players should be given the nod in your lineups this week. If he plays, should you consider benching Odell Beckham (5:43) because of how banged up he is, is it worth seeing if lightning can strike twice with Derrick Henry (17:01), and who is the better QB streamer between Josh Allen (51:42) and Nick Foles (52:56)?
Justin Boone of theScore joins the guys today and together we share our top waiver wire adds of the week for each position. Damien Williams (7:36) deserves your attention as the probable leader of the Chiefs backfield if Spencer Ware sits, but are Derrick Henry and Jalen Richard (20:11) even better RB options if they are still available in your league? Has Curtis Samuel (33:59) become Carolina's top wideout and is Josh Allen (35:23) a streamer-worthy option against the Lions?
Week 14 Rapid Reaction + Derrick Henry Dominates (Ep. 304)
Today, we analyze each game that took place before Sunday night to extract the most notable fantasy nuggets from them all. Should Derrick Henry's (6:31) outlook be adjusted after running wild on the Jaguars and are there any Packers receivers (23:07) who fantasy owners can trust outside of Davante Adams? Should you actually consider benching Drew Brees (37:38) next week and just how impactful has moving to Dallas been for Amari Cooper's (54:58) value going into next season?
DFS Lineup Advice: Week 14 w/ Matthew Freedman (Ep. 303)
Matthew Freedman of FantasyLabs joins the crew today as we share our top DFS plays for both cash games and GPPs. Is Justin Jackson (18:32) truly the lead back for the Chargers? DeAndre Hopkins (32:05) offers a fantastic combination of safety and upside for a lower price than other high-end options, Antonio Brown (36:09) might be set up to disappoint relative to his cost, and Jared Cook (50:58) figures to be a target hog with relatively low ownership.
We scour through our rankings and give you the lowdown on which guys you should bench or insert into your lineups. First, we tackle the Emmanuel Sanders (1:38) injury news and discuss who will benefit the most in Denver. Is Curtis Samuel (29:31) a lock or are Devin Funchess' involvement and Cam Newton's shoulder bug concerns? How will Mitchell Trubisky's return and a matchup with the Rams affect Trey Burton's production (45:15) and what are our bold predictions heading into Week 14 (51:58)?
Brandon Marianne Lee of The Athletic joins us as we shine light on this week's top waiver pickups. Jaylen Samuels (9:46) is still worth scooping up even with James Conner's high probability of playing, but does DeVante Parker (38:02) have enough upside to make himself worth a pickup? Plus, are there any major differences between Lamar Jackson (44:41) and Josh Allen (45:47)? To finish things off, we tackle a listener mailbag question (58:19) regarding the best low-cost RBs and WRs in dynasty leagues.
Week 13 Rapid Reaction + Spencer Ware's Fantasy Outlook (Ep. 300)
Michael Moore (Pro Football Focus) is in with us to help analyze each early and late afternoon game from a fantasy perspective. At the start of the show, we dive into the fallout from this weekend's big news regarding Kareem Hunt (1:15) and project what Spencer Ware's rest of season value is like. How does Tre'Quan Smith's (8:00) value compare to Courtland Sutton's (19:50) and Josh Reynolds' (42:43)? Is it time to downgrade Aaron Rodgers (28:51) to streamer status and who is Jeff Wilson (1:00:01)?
Today we are joined by Doug Norrie from DFSR.com to break down our top DFS cash game and GPP plays for this week. Jared Goff's (10:54) matchup against Detroit might be too tasty to pass up, but would it make sense to save money and spend low at RB on Lamar Miller (22:50) and should DFS players be trying to pay up for Tyreek Hill (31:42)? Is Cameron Brate's (48:57) upside capped and is Baker Mayfield's (1:03:42) floor and efficiency worth banking on in GPPs against a tough Texans defense?
Jason Moore from The Fantasy Footballers is with our crew today as we all share our analysis on which borderline players should be stuck in lineups or sat on the bench. With Marlon Mack (7:20) still in concussion protocol, will Jordan Wilkins or Nyheim Hines be the main beneficiary if Mack is out and are Jordan Howard (21:37) and Doug Martin (23:48) both startable options? Is it time for everyone to acknowledge Adam Humphries' (40:37) consistency and how high is Lamar Jackson's (53:46) ceiling?
Pat Fitzmaurice from TheFootballGirl.com joins today's show and together we give our thoughts on this week's top waiver wire options for each position. How big will Justin Jackson's (4:20) role be without Melvin Gordon and who is the preferred pickup between Josh Adams and Gus Edwards (18:09)? In addition, which defenses can do the most damage in the fantasy playoffs (41:08) and has Baker Mayfield (50:21) already established himself as a top-10 QB?
We're here to put each game under the microscope and share our biggest fantasy takeaways from Week 12's matchups. Nick Chubb (3:02) and the Cleveland Browns appear to have a bright future ahead, Amari Cooper (16:27) was definitively the standout player on Thanksgiving, and Adam Humphries (26:43) strongly deserves your attention. How should we view Doug Baldwin (46:54) moving forward though, and how much time could Melvin Gordon (56:08) miss and who would benefit the most from his absence?
We break down this week's best DFS options on today's show. Nick Mullens (6:26) has a nice shot at hitting value against Tampa Bay, Christian McCaffrey's (16:57) ceiling may be lower than it has been in recent weeks, and Adam Humphries (30:19) figures to be a solid value option in cash games. Cameron Brate (36:36) is far and away the most obvious TE play. Before concluding the show, we share our top three plays for the Thanksgiving slate (49:51).
On today's show we are joined by Doug Orth from FF Today and together we examine which borderline options you should insert into your lineup or sit on your bench. Should fantasy owners have full confidence in Marlon Mack (8:15) and Dalvin Cook (10:03) coming off relatively lackluster performances, is Tre'Quan Smith (25:55) suddenly a top-20 WR option, and will Russell Wilson's (54:00) lack of pass attempts catch up with him against Carolina?
Jake Ciely from The Athletic is in with us to discuss this week's top waiver wire options at each position. Who is the best widely available RB between Gus Edwards and Josh Adams (2:13), is D.J. Moore (18:20) the undisputed top wideout fantasy owners should target, and does Lamar Jackson deserve more consideration than Jameis Winston (34:59) if both are available? Also, does Eli Manning (41:52) have viability as a streamer and will Le'Veon Bell (55:34) be a first-round draft pick next preseason?
The Saints crushed the Eagles, Alex Smith was knocked out for the season, and Lamar Jackson started at QB, but ran with the ball 27 times! We're back with our weekly recap and one question some of you may be asking is, who is Gus Edwards (1:34)? Chris Carson appears to be the top dog as long as he's healthy (8:37), Kerryon Johnson got hurt so what should we make of the Lions RB depth (16:43), and is D.J. Moore better for fantasy than Devin Funchess at this point (20:15)?
Our crew shines light on their favorite DFS plays in today's show. We debate whether Dak Prescott (4:01) is a good cash game play, explain why David Johnson (19:28) should provide solid value, and share our thoughts on Julio Jones' (24:17 & 26:02) cash game viability. Should DFS players do whatever they can to fit Zach Ertz (40:18) into their lineup and is Doug Martin (53:57) a secret GPP weapon or a dud in the making?
Today we are joined by Jeff Ratcliffe from Pro Football Focus as we dish out our insight on which borderline players should get the nod or ride the pine. Who is the better QB play between Ryan Fitzpatrick and Mitch Trubisky (11:29), is Alex Collins (20:04) too underrated, and how do fantasy owners approach the Seattle backfield (27:26)? Also, is Corey Davis (34:53 and 37:03) beginning to cement himself as a dominant NFL WR and where might Le'Veon Bell (59:52) end up next year?
Michael Beller from Sports Illustrated joins our crew in today's show and together we break down this week's top waiver options. How relevant is Josh Reynolds in the wake of Cooper Kupp's (1:49) season-ending injury and has Rashaad Penny (7:28) fully taken the reigns in Seattle's backfield after his big game? Plus, what is Keke Coutee's (28:27) rest of season outlook like coming off the Texans' Week 10 bye and is Doug Martin (57:29) arguably the top RB add this week if he's available in your league?
Week 10 Rapid Reaction + Eric Ebron Explodes (Ep. 288)
One of the biggest performances from a Week 10 that was chalked full of offense was Eric Ebron's (3:02) three-touchdown game, but is his hyper-efficiency sustainable? Speaking of three-score outings, was Christian McCaffery's (16:29) huge game on Thursday less impressive than it may have seemed? On Sunday, we also witnessed the continuation of Tom Brady's (34:36) struggles on the road and the big Aaron Jones (55:41) breakout game we've all been waiting for.
Davis Mattek from Swolecast is in with us today while we share our top DFS plays for Week 10. Is Aaron Rodgers (6:06) or Patrick Mahomes (8:12) the preferred quarterback to pay up for, is Tevin Coleman (20:35) a lock to hit value, and does Chris Conley's (34:44) price make him an automatic play if Sammy Watkins sits? Plus, Marquez Valdes-Scantling (37:26) appears to be an excellent value option, but are both Doug Baldwin (55:34) and Blake Bortles (1:03:41) solid GPP upside plays, or are they bound to bust?
In today's episode, our crew dishes out their fantasy insight to make your lineup decisions a little easier this week. With that being said, the show kicks off with our analysis of the impact Dez Bryant's (2:17) arrival in New Orleans will have. Can Mitch Trubisky (17:54) rebound from a poor outing last week and is it time to panic about Mark Ingram (25:09)? Also, is it crazy to think that DeSean Jackson (34:37) can be a WR2 against Washington and has Rob Gronkowski (53:21) fallen from must-start status?
Waiver Wire Pickups: Week 10 + Duke Johnson Re-Emerges (Ep. 285)
Sigmund Bloom (FootballGuys) is along for the ride as we give our takes on our favorite free agent pickups at each position this week. Can the Browns be trusted to be smart and give a player of Duke Johnson's (18:34) talent the touches he deserves and has Marquez Valdes-Scantling (31:06) started solidifying himself as a WR3? Jack Doyle's rest of season fantasy value (45:06) is thoroughly examined and the show concludes with us placing a few players under the microscope in our Buy/Sell segment (56:18).
Week 9 Rapid Reaction + Julio Finally Scores (Ep. 284)
Week 9 saw a battle between two championship contenders in the Rams and Saints, but there are plenty of other games to run through to break down the fantasy takeaways. The Raiders are worse than we thought they could be (1:28), the Vikings running back situation looks to be complicated (3:47), and Jarvis Landry may never be the wide receiver that fantasy owners hope that he is (7:21). Now might be the best time to buy Tarik Cohen (15:35), should we reconsider Kerryon Johnson's value (37:43)...
Our dynamic duo shares their top GPP and cash game DFS plays for this week's games. Is Patrick Mahomes (5:02) the top QB option, what should cash game players be concerned about when considering Alvin Kamara (16:35), and has Adam Thielen (25:00) become a must-play option regardless of his cost? How good of a play is Sammy Watkins (37:21) if Tyreek Hill sits and is Lamar Miller (57:52) a sneaky good GPP option?
On today's show, the guys analyze which borderline startable options should get the nod or ride the pine. Is Alex Smith (8:24) a viable option against the Falcons, does LeSean McCoy (19:01) have any chance at overcoming the Bears' tough run defense, and do experts largely have DeSean Jackson ranked too high (35:24)? Should fantasy owners feel confident plugging Calvin Ridley (38:22) back into their lineups and does Hayden Hurst (49:31) have TE1 potential down the stretch?
Our crew shares their insight into how each notable trade deadline transaction alters the fantasy football landscape. The show kicks off with analysis on how Demaryius Thomas' trade to Houston (00:31) affects both the Texans' and Broncos' offenses. We later pivot to what Ty Montgomery's trade to Baltimore (6:52) means for the Packers and Ravens and then thoroughly examine how the Eagles' acquisition of Golden Tate (10:40) shakes up the wide receiver totem pole in Philadelphia and Detroit.
On today's show, our duo discusses their top waiver wire options heading into Week 9. What are the chances that Elijah McGuire (15:19) ends up starting for the Jets, who is the top WR pickup between Keke Coutee and DeVante Parker (22:21), and is Jack Doyle (38:44) a locked-in TE1 the rest of the way? We conclude the show with a three-round midseason draft (44:40) based on which players we think are the best fantasy options for the rest of the year.
We kick off today's show by recognizing which players over the first eight weeks were the MVPs (3:17), who is most due for the biggest second half improvement (8:51), and who has been the most underrated (15:10) among many other awards. Did Josh Adams (24:36) become the lead man in Philadelphia's running back committee, is D.J. Moore (47:34) now a must-add option, and has James Conner (50:29) done enough to claim Pittsburgh's backfield once Le'Veon Bell returns?
Daily Fantasy Insider co-founder, Justin MacMahon, hops in with us as we break down Week 8's best DFS plays. Are Patrick Mahomes (10:53) and Todd Gurley (13:26) worth paying up for? Davante Adams (30:39) seems primed to tear apart the Rams' defensive backs, C.J. Uzomah (40:23) may be the best combination of matchup and price at the TE position, and Baker Mayfield (57:48) fully deserves your attention in GPPs.
In today's show, we supply the all the info you'll need to make the best lineup decisions entering Week 8. Before getting to the Start/Sit suggestions, our duo begins by breaking down the latest news and advises fantasy owners on the newest report regarding Dalvin Cook (4:24), who is likely out until Week 11. The guys discuss the viability of T.J. Yeldon with the arrival of Carlos Hyde (27:02) and are in disbelief with how underrated Geronimo Allison (37:10) is across the industry.
Justin Boone from theScore teams up with us today to break down the top waiver pickups heading into Week 8. Tre'Quan Smith (8:55) appears to be the clear top choice among widely unowned WRs, Doug Martin and Jalen Richard (30:53) are easily the primary RBs fantasy owners should target, and it may be time to treat C.J. Uzomah (49:26) as a TE you should start most weeks. The end of the show is mainly spent discussing the fantasy football fallout of Amari Cooper's trade to the Cowboys (51:24).
Week 7 Rapid Reaction + Andrew Luck's Revival (Ep. 275)
Today's show is spent breaking down all of the zany action from a wild Week 7, but one of the most notable performances that stuck out to us came from Andrew Luck (4:15). Has Kerryon Johnson (31:58) officially become a running back fantasy owners can confidently rely upon, how might the Patriots handle their tailback situation if Sony Michel (39:21) is sidelined for an extended period, and what is the state of the Eagles' backfield (48:15)?
It's a fresh start with a new week of football in DFS and joining us to help nail down your cash and tournament lineups for the weekend is Jared Kwart of FantasyCruncher.com. It's a week where there may not be too many questions at certain positions as we all love Kirk Cousins taking on the Jets (2:45), Todd Gurley going against the 49ers (8:34) and Ezekiel Elliott taking on a terrible rush defense in Washington (9:47). Adam Thielen very well could be the must-play of the week (15:41) and the tight end...
We've got your back with an hour chalked full of our most notable starts and sits at each position. Andy Dalton (8:02) has obvious QB1 potential in a date with the Chiefs, but can Blake Bortles (14:16) be trusted against the Texans? Tarik Cohen (23:39) may have strong RB2 upside, but we don't share the same optimism for Corey Davis (35:03). Would it be crazy to play Zay Jones (46:26) if you're desperate and what should fantasy owners do with Jordan Reed (49:27)?
Pat Fitzmaurice from TheFootballGirl.com is in with us as we share our top waiver additions this week. However, we first give our thoughts on the trade rumors surrounding Amari Cooper (5:13) and project whether Adam Theilen (9:16) will finish as a top-three WR. Is Duke Johnson (24:56) worth picking up despite his volatility, should Tre'Quan Smith (32:28 & 34:30) be viewed as the top WR to claim entering Week 7, and is it time actually consider dropping Russell Wilson (53:51)?
Week 6 is just about wrapped up and we're here to give our instant reactions to the festivities. Doug Baldwin owners finally got the game they were looking for (7:44) and Peyton Barber put the brakes on the Ronald Jones train (9:25). Carlos Hyde is slowly losing his job (11:53) and Kenyan Drake has seemingly already lost his (13:41). Owners of Dalvin Cook continue to be let down (21:08), but his teammate, Adam Thielen, is now one of the best fantasy receivers in the game (23:27)...
In today's show, we give you our favorite cash game and GPP DFS plays alongside Joe Holka from FantasyLabs. Does Christian McCaffrey's (11:47) combo of floor and price make him the perfect cash game RB to build around, and how concerning is Ezekiel Elliott's (15:42) lack of work in the passing game for cash games? Can this be the week to bank on Julio Jones (30:39) finally scoring a touchdown and is Corey Davis (53:20) worth using in GPPs despite a terrible matchup against Baltimore?
We band together with the Fantasy Footballers' very own Mike Wright to give you all the information you need to make the right lineup decisions this week. We first cover some news before diving into the thick of it and ponder the fallout of a potential LeSean McCoy (2:01) trade to the Eagles. Should you trust Andy Dalton (17:59) as a top-10 option, is Amari Cooper (43:58) startable against Seattle, and can fantasy owners insert Jared Cook (56:49) into their lineups with any confidence?
Michael Moore from Pro Football Focus comes on board with us as we offer our thoughts on the latest injury news, valuable waiver adds, and trade targets. Which Eagles RB will benefit the most from Jay Ajayi's ACL tear (3:51) and is Ronald Jones (14:42 & 15:53) in a prime spot to grab Tampa Bay's starting tailback job? Can fantasy owners depend on Keke Coutee (30:38) as a WR3 for the rest of the season and should you still view Doug Baldwin (58:14) as a buy-low target after his one-yard outing on Sunday?
Week 5 Rapid Reaction + Who is Marquez Valdes-Scantling? (Ep. 267)
We're back to break down Sunday's exciting slate of action and give you our thoughts on how these matchups might affect the fantasy landscape moving forward. Blake Bortles (2:00) isn't any better than we thought and Marquez Valdes-Scantling (6:43) may have earned a larger role with his performance. Is it time to cut bait on Derrick Henry (24:20) and how will Robert Woods fare if Cooper Kupp and Brandin Cooks (55:36) both miss time in the future?
We're dishing out DFS advice today, and Matthew Freedman of FantasyLabs.com is here with us to share his insight. Should DFS players consider using Patrick Mahomes (7:58) against the Jags, is T.J. Yeldon (14:06) a top RB play in cash games, and how viable is Jared Cook (32:37) in a tough matchup? Looking at GPPs, can Seattle's defense (43:13) be a worthy risk since they should be almost completely unowned and is Geronimo Allison (46:45) primed to excel if he's active?
Christopher Harris of HarrisFootball.com comes on with us as we rundown which players you should consider starting or sitting at each position. Before tackling Start/Sit advice, we analyze the latest news, including the newest development with Le'Veon Bell's holdout (2:42). Should Jared Goff (18:43) be started against a surprisingly stingy Seahawks defense, is Derrick Henry (29:30) finally a flex-worthy option this week, and can Alshon Jeffery (48:02) overcome Minnesota's talented secondary?
Author of the best-selling "Fantasy Black Book" series, Joe Pisapia, joins us as we break down which players fantasy owners should heavily consider adding to their rosters entering Week 5. Keke Coutee (8:09 & 11:17) received 15 targets in his debut, Nyheim Hines (22:05) might just be the back to own in Indy, and Jameis Winston (33:33) is a QB worth picking up and holding for the long-term. To finish the show, we quickly mention who we'll buy low (55:22) and sell high (57:05).
Week 4 Rapid Reaction + Andrew Luck's Resurgence (Ep. 263)
Week 4 has perhaps been the most explosive week of offense in this young season so far. We break down all of Sunday's exciting action and what many of this week's huge fantasy performances could mean moving forward. Is Andrew Luck (2:52) finally back to his old self, can Kenyan Drake (9:19) be trusted, and should fantasy owners be concerned about Dalvin Cook (19:00)? Also, is Ronald Jones (34:24) now the RB to own in Tampa Bay, and has Aaron Jones (45:58) become the Packers' primary back?
Week 4 started off with a bang and we're following it up with our favorite DFS plays. Joining us on the show is Christian Abbonizio. Whether you're playing cash games (1:48) or GPP tournaments (52:14), we've got the full rundown to help you build your lineups. Using Baker Mayfield in cash games isn't a bad idea (2:28), Matthew Stafford offers quality upside (5:05), and Andy Dalton has a great game-script (7:47). This is the week to spend up at RB (15:40) and Ezekiel Elliott (17:07) is the guy you want.
Jake Ciely from The Athletic hops on with us as we examine which players fantasy owners should heavily consider starting or sitting this week. What should fantasy owners do with Russell Wilson (8:10) and is Kerryon Johnson (20:36) approaching must-start territory? Plus, Corey Davis' (37:33) enormous target share is too large to ignore, and we debate whether Ricky Seals-Jones' (55:00) production can improve this week with Josh Rosen starting under center.
Which oft-overlooked athletes emerged from Week 4 as players you should heavily consider adding to your squad? That's the question we've come to answer for you on today's show. Calvin Ridley (13:49) has moved onto everyone's radar after his three-touchdown performance, but Mike Williams (11:50) may be equally as deserving of your attention. Also, just how meaningful was Chris Carson's (38:46) 31-carry outing? We then end the show by answering your Listener Mailbag questions (43:28).
Week 3 Rapid Reaction + Jimmy Garoppolo's Injury (Ep. 259)
Another Sunday of high scoring affairs, tight matchups, breakout performances, dud outings, and devastating injuries is through. Before analyzing each of the day and afternoon games from a fantasy perspective, we wonder which 49ers are still weekly fantasy starters if Jimmy Garoppolo is out for the season (3:55). Also, should Sammy Watkins be viewed as a borderline WR2 moving forward (30:46), and is Javorius "Buck" Allen (56:18) someone fantasy owners should feel comfortable starting regularly?
With Week 3 now underway, we discuss which players can be solid DFS plays for cash games and GPPs this weekend. Alex Smith (7:41) could provide nice value in a potential shootout with the Packers, but the big question is, can we trust Amari Cooper (38:03) considering how inconsistent his QB is? Also, David Johnson's (57:41) talent, price, and potentially low ownership all make him a viable tournament play, and we're rolling with a prolific pair of Saints as our locks of the week (1:01:13).
Start/Sit: Week 3 w/ Brandon Marianne Lee (Ep. 257)
Our hosts team up with Brandon Marianne Lee of The Athletic to share our thoughts on which players you should consider starting or sitting in Week 3. Is it safe to start trusting Will Dissly (9:37) as a TE1, should you feel worried starting Kenny Golladay (28:49), and is there any reason to lack confidence in Matt Breida (36:37)? Also, Rashaad Penny (47:30) might finally be getting a leg up on Chris Carson, and we discuss the latest news on the Le'Veon Bell holdout (1:03:41).
Today we share which players fantasy owners should pick up as we head into Week 3, and Pat Fitzmaurice from The Football Girl joins us to give you his favorite waiver additions as well. However, we explore what Josh Gordon's fantasy value could be like in New England (3:53) before getting into nitty gritty. Giovani Bernard may be the obvious top pickup (9:47), but John Brown deserves your attention right after him (17:45). Also, is Ryan Fitzpatrick a QB1 this week (46:03)?
Week 2 Rapid Reaction + Patrick Mahomes' Explosion (Ep. 255)
Our crew is back to break down every great and disappointing performance from each of Sunday's day games and give their immediate fantasy analysis. Is Patrick Mahomes a true QB1 for the rest of the season (3:10 & 12:27) and how should fantasy owners view Chris Thompson moving forward (17:57)? Plus, is Antonio Callaway the Browns' real No. 2 option without Josh Gordon (39:30) and should you buy or sell on Kenny Golladay (59:48)?
DFS Lineup Advice: Week 2 w/ Davis Mattek (Ep. 254)
Davis Mattek (host for Swolecast and TaekCast) joins forces with us as we all share our thoughts on which players make strong DFS plays. Ben Roethlisberger's high floor this week is worth paying up for (10:58) and Adrian Peterson figures to be a cheap source of guaranteed touches (19:35), but is it wrong to rank Emmanuel Sanders (27:07) above Demaryius Thomas (29:21)? Also, is DeAndre Hopkins an overrated talent (53:38)?
Jeff Ratcliffe from Pro Football Focus hops on with us as we share our thoughts on which players we would consider either starting or sitting ahead of this week's matchups. Should Tom Brady owners look for alternative options this weekend (11:49) and is Jay Ajayi a glorified committee back or the bonafide top dog in that backfield (20:26)? Plus, should we panic about Amari Cooper (38:44), is Sammy Watkins already droppable (44:47), and are we overlooking Jack Doyle too much (53:57)?
With every game from Week 1 now in the books, which players would you be wise to snag from your league's waiver wire today? We're here to tackle that question for you in-depth. How much FAAB should you spend on T.J. Yeldon (21:43), who the heck is Will Dissly (25:48), and can Ryan Fitzpatrick steal Jameis Winston's job (38:32)? Plus, will Phillip Lindsay (43:25) carry significant fantasy value moving forward, and did Jordan Wilkins do enough to keep Indy's starting RB job (46:29)?
Week 1 Rapid Reaction + James Conner's Breakout (Ep. 251)
Opening Sunday has come and gone, and it was one we likely won't forget for a long time! Joining us as our new Sunday co-host is FantasyPros writer, Dan Harris. Before diving into Sunday's games en masse, we take a small look at Thursday night's opener and analyze whether Jay Ajayi's productive performance alters his season-long outlook (4:34). Is Le'Veon Bell's return impacted by James Conner's impressive outing (20:58)? Also, how wrong were we about Tyreek Hill (43:38)?
Football is back! Doug Norrie from Daily Fantasy Sports Rankings is with us as we give our favorite cash game and GPP plays for Week 1. How well can we expect James Conner to perform if Le'Veon Bell is absent on Sunday (14:39) and how much consideration should you give Leonard Fournette and Joe Mixon in cash games (26:44)? Are A.J. Green and Keenan Allen (42:01) two wideouts you should build your DFS lineups around, and is Andy Dalton (59:44) someone you can rely on in cash games this week?
We'll be here before the first game each week to give you our thoughts on which guys you should start in your lineup or sit on your bench for the week. Before getting into the meat of the show, we break down some depth chart news and give you the latest on the Le'Veon Bell holdout (15:43). Should fantasy owners be concerned about Philip Rivers' historically underwhelming performances against Kansas City (25:59) and which tight end should you be looking to stream if you're in a pinch (58:06)?
NFL Survivor Pool & Pick 'Em Strategy + 2018 Season Predictions (Ep. 248)
Tom Federico and David Hess from TeamRankings.com join us to share which strategies work best for being the last person standing in survivor pools (13:35) and winning your pick 'em contest (29:41). The last 20 minutes of the show are dedicated to breaking down our projections from last year (42:30), diving into our predictions for the new season (50:20) like whether the Jaguars are Super Bowl bound (52:39), and giving our most confident picks against the spread for Week 1 (55:42).
With the regular season quickly approaching, our hosts explore which commonly unowned players you would be wise to hold on to. However, we start the show going over the Khalil Mack trade (3:25 & 13:51) and debating who steps up in Jerick McKinnon's absence (7:24). Why does DeVante Parker (22:32) deserve to be rostered in all fantasy leagues? Does Anthony Miller have more upside than Chris Godwin (30:18)? How high is Corey Clement's potential (45:16) in Philadelphia if Jay Ajayi were to miss time?
Whether you've drafted already or not, we're talking late-round fliers that are worth stashing. Joining us to chat is Sigmund Bloom of Footballguys. We're starting with what to make of Royce Freeman sitting the final game of the preseason (3:36). We then take turns naming our favorite fliers to snag beginning with T.J. Yeldon (9:12). Sigmund explains what you should be looking for in RB stashes (10:46), and we touch on a few other stashes like Anthony Miller (21:20) and Cordarrelle Patterson (25:24).
Justin Boone from theScore is with us as we share which players we are actively targeting and who we are steering clear of. Patrick Mahomes (14:17) may have high upside, but should his tough early-season schedule dampen your outlook? Does Alex Collins (27:48) have a stranglehold on the Ravens' starting running back job? With his ADP swiftly rising, does Amari Cooper (42:26) still have enough equity built into his ADP? Is Trey Burton (50:38) the tight end to aim for if you've missed out on the elite options?
Jamey Eisenberg from CBS Sports joins the show as we discuss some of the larger discrepancies between his rankings and the Expert Consensus Rankings. Does Russell Wilson carry more risk than people realize (6:05), will Kerryon Johnson's talent earn him the lion's share of Detroit's backfield touches (18:32), and should fantasy owners fully buy into Marquise Goodwin's upside (30:30)?
Football Diehards' Bob Harris is with us as we shed some light on which players you will surely regret drafting. However, before we jump into that, we just can't understand why the Broncos have decided not to start Royce Freeman (8:13). It's hard to trust Devonta Freeman (25:29) with how much work he cedes to Tevin Coleman, Derrick Henry's (36:04) current situation is very similar to what he experienced last year, and Alshon Jeffery (47:41) is unjustly being taken as a top 30 WR.
Mike Wright from The Fantasy Footballers joins the crew as we each share which players could possess league-winning upside. During the meat of the show, we all agree that New England's depleted receiving corps leaves Rob Gronkowski (19:50) with league-winning ability. Does Joe Mixon (25:41) truly possess elite potential behind a subpar offensive line, though? Also, is Corey Davis' (55:48) upside limited by both his quarterback and the smorgasbord of other receiving options in Tennessee?
Can You Trust These 12 Risky Players? w/ John Paulsen (Ep. 241)
4for4.com's John Paulsen comes on the show to help shed some light on 12 different players who carry plenty of risk. What should we think of Andrew Luck's unimpressive preseason performances (12:32), how often will the 49ers use Jerick McKinnon (23:02), and is it wrong to underestimate Juju Smith-Schuster this year (36:14)?
Wide Receiver Rankings and Tiers w/ Matt Harmon (Ep. 240)
It's the show you've been hoping for as we have Matt Harmon of Yahoo! Sports joining us to chat about WR tiers. Kicking things off at the top of the discussion is the first tier where their's little disagreement (6:01). The first question though is where does Keenan Allen fit (8:26)? We're also answering if the Vikings can support two top-end WRs (12:04), why Matt doesn't like Amari Cooper (18:29), and what should we think of Sammy Watkins (43:30). We end the show talking about OUR guys (55:18).
We spend today's show creating one fantasy roster full of players who are poised to bounce back from disappointing seasons last year, and another fantasy roster that is filled with players who we won't let burn us again. Drew Brees is primed for positive touchdown regression (13:55) and Amari Cooper should benefit as the Radiers' offensive focal point (27:08). In contrast, Isaiah Crowell likely won't capitalize on his touches (38:05) and free agent Dez Bryant can't be trusted at this point (44:21).
Jake Ciely from The Athletic joins the crew as we undertake a standard-scoring mock draft for you and share our thoughts and analysis on what's happening along the way. Should fantasy owners feel comfortable drafting Tyreek Hill as a high-end WR2 (10:58), and is taking Chris Hogan in the fifth round a reach (18:39)? Plus, will Latavius Murray be more than just a handcuff (41:21), and who is the WR to own in Jacksonville (43:18)?
Shedding light on sleepers who offer lots of upside with minimal cost is the focus of today's show, but first we gauge whether Adrian Peterson will have substantial fantasy value in Washington (3:30). Why are people still snoozing on Jets starting RB Bilal Powell (14:18)? Mike Williams may be one of the biggest steals in fantasy drafts this year (28:11) and James White could be in for a much bigger season than folks realize (37:37).
Which late-round players have the potential to offer great production for little to no draft cost? John Ross should command a healthy chunk of targets as the Bengals' No. 2 WR (13:50), and Dante Pettis may have a shot to be San Francisco's best fantasy receiver (31:13), but can Brandon Marshall be a top-30 WR if he starts for Seattle (24:56)? We later spend the end of the show debating players we ranked differently, like Mitch Trubisky (41:49) and Derrick Henry (48:06).
We're scouring through our running back rankings and analyzing how we have them tiered. Should Ezekiel Elliott be taken after Leonard Fournette and Saquon Barkley (11:30), is Christian McCaffrey's upside capped (19:24), and will Jay Ajayi be a much larger part of Philadelphia's offense this season (30:35)? Towards the end, we name some late-round backs who might be worth targeting, like Jeremy Hill (56:46) and Doug Martin (58:57).

Best Values from Rounds 3-7 + Listener Mailbag (Ep. 233)
Today, we highlight which players present the best value from Round 3-7 in half PPR drafts. Our hosts debate whether LeSean McCoy is a value pick in the third round (21:26), but agree that mid-round picks like Sony Michel (44:58) and Marshawn Lynch (48:57) should outproduce their ADP. Towards the end, we open up the Listener Mailbag to tackle some of your pressing fantasy questions (57:18).
Matthew Freedman from FantasyLabs joins us as we share our takeaways from the first week of preseason action. The gang covers interesting topics such as whether it's time to confidently invest in the Browns offense (26:42), our thoughts on the debut of John Gruden's Raiders offense (32:05), and if the Jake Kumerow hype is real (48:05).
Derrius Guice Injury + 2QB Rankings and Strategy (Ep. 231)
Derrius Guice has a torn ACL (3:09), Marlon Mack and Deon Cane both suffered injuries for the Colts (8:12), and the preseason injuries are piling up. We've got Greg Smith of TwoQBs joining us on the show to discuss all the fantasy implications of these injuries, what his big takeaways are so far from the games played (13:54), and which players he's higher and lower on at QB (19:00). Being the TwoQB expert, he's giving his advice on draft strategy (33:49) before answering questions from our mailbag (38:53).
Andy Holloway from the Fantasy Footballers joins us to discuss which players you should steer clear of in fantasy drafts at their current prices. Rashaad Penny is one rookie fantasy owners may want to start fading (6:04), Devin Funchess is primed to regress (24:55), and Will Fuller is being taken far too high (39:51). We close out the show with some intriguing takes on Jimmy Graham (54:23). Can he succeed despite all the red flags against him in Green Bay?
Which hyped up players should you buy into and which players are unjustly overblown? Matt Waldman from Footballguys joins the show to help us answer that very question. Is our excitement for Saquon Barkley warranted (15:08)? Plus, will Juju Smith-Schuster transform into a superstar or is a major regression coming (34:56) and what should fantasy owners make of George Kittle and David Njoku (1:01:20)?
Today's show is dedicated to you, the listener, as we spend the whole show analyzing your hot takes. Your intriguing bold predictions forced us to ponder the odds of Keenan Allen (19:55) and Joe Mixon (26:02) finishing 2018 as the top fantasy WR and RB, respectively. We also discuss the chances of Corey Davis receiving 130+ targets (57:16).
In today's show, we go through an entire half PPR mock draft from start to finish, all while providing analysis on our picks. But first, we evaluate the fantasy impact of the Corey Coleman trade (4:58). As we complete our draft, some of the questions we tackle are if fantasy owners are better off selecting Chris Hogan over Sammy Watkins (15:51), is John Ross now more valuable than Geronimo Allison (34:40), and what should fantasy owners make of Devin Funchess (44:24)?
We're bringing the Pay Mayo Experience to our latest episode and in today's show, we're taking turns naming who we feel are the riskiest players to draft. Before we get into that though, we're giving our thoughts on news about Christian McCaffrey's workload (6:35), Josh Gordon's time away from the team (9:30), and what that might mean for Jarvis Landry. Listen in to find out who we believe is too risky including some friendly disagreement on Sony Michel (40:04) and Alex Collins (1:00:13).
Common Draft Mistakes + Position Battles w/ Matt Camp & Ross Tucker (Ep. 225)
Bleacher Report's lead fantasy analyst, Matt Camp, joins the first part of our the show to help us discuss common draft practices to avoid, like drafting based on last year's stats (08:05) and being too optimistic on injured players (34:07). Later on, NBCSN NFL analyst, Ross Tucker, comes aboard to talk about some of the league's most interesting position battles. We'll give you the scoop on what you should make of the Seahawks' receiving corps (48:08) and the Detroit backfield (52:20).
Which risky unheralded players can quietly become viable fantasy producers? That's what we're here to shed some light on for you today. Fantasy owners would do well not to sleep on Kelvin Benjamin (15:02) or Blake Bortles (38:46) among many others. The back end of the show features some very interesting nuggets of information about several offenses fantasy owners will depend upon this season.
Emmy Award-winning sports journalist, James Koh, joins us for a fun session of over/under regarding the production for some of fantasy football's most notable names, such as DeAndre Hopkins (13:11), Mike Evans (21:01), David Johnson (27:16), and Alvin Kamara (35:01). We later open the Listener Mailbag to tackle interesting questions, one of which asks for creative ways to build your draft order (45:25). As the show draws to a close, James treats us to an interesting perspective on Deshaun Watson (1:11:12).
We kick off today's show with some training camp nuggets about Dalvin Cook's health (6:59) and the state of the Seahawks backfield (13:18) among many other things. After that, we dish out some valuable tips you should be mindful of when preparing for an auction draft, such as being prepared for how long auctions are (29:32), adjusting for inflation (32:52), and waiting to nominate your deep sleepers (44:17).
Whether you're new to fantasy football or are trying to change up your strategy, this is the episode for you. Joe Pisapia, author of the best selling Fantasy Black Book joins us to run the gamut on all the latest fantasy strategies. Listen in as we explain what the pros and cons are to each strategy and how to employ them.
Rankings w/ Chris Harris + Training Camp Battles (Ep. 220)
We're welcoming Chris Harris of Harris Football on the show and there's plenty to chat about starting with a pair of young quarterbacks in Deshaun Watson (3:08) and Patrick Maholmes (5:56). Find out why Chris has Joe Mixon in his top 10 (9:58) and Derrick Henry is a top 15 back (27:01). We're also getting into wide receivers (37:17) and a fiery discussion on player valuation with regards to Brandin Cooks (39:04) and David Njoku (49:17). We wrap up the show with training camp battles worth watching (56:23).
We're running another best ball draft with you, the listeners, and like last time, there's no shortage of us getting sniped. Tune in for all our live reactions and thoughts of the picks. Before that though, there's news to discuss with Julio Jones announcing his plans to skip camp (4:55). We've also got the stat of the day (9:16), quick thoughts on Cameron Meredith's outlook in New Orleans (7:53), and Jerick McKinnon's ceiling (12:18).
We provide in-depth analysis on our QB and TE rankings and express our thoughts on polarizing players like Deshaun Watson (7:54) and Jimmy Graham (41:08). We also shed some light on our extreme fondness for Alex Smith (11:12) and why Mitch Trubisky is a much better value compared to Pat Mahomes (34:55). Later on, listen in for our opinions on who the first TE taken off the board should be (44:39) and why Trey Burton is one of the safest fantasy TEs (49:16).
With the NFL preseason less than two weeks away, we're back to break down a full fantasy mock draft from start to finish! Tags kicks things off by selecting Saquon Barkley with the seventh pick (8:35), and then Bobby takes Julio Jones 10th overall (10:10). We attempt to answer some perplexing questions drafters will face while on the clock, like what is the difference between Demaryius Thomas and Amari Cooper (24:45) and how much upside does Keelan Cole hold as a late-round pick (53:38)?
Training Camp Predictions + Listener Mailbag (Ep. 216)
Sports Illustrated's Michael Beller joins the show as we tell you which players' ADPs we expect to rise and fall before the season begins. Chris Carson's emergence may hurt Rashaad Penny's ADP (16:22) and Jordan Reed's draft price has nowhere to go but up (29:28). Also, will the Saints' acquisition of Shane Vereen (35:02) have bigger implications than one might think, and are the Titans Dez Bryant's next destination (40:06)? We then close out the show by answering your Listener Mailbag questions (50:34).
We are joined by numberFire's Jim Sannes to discuss how fantasy owners should navigate through the early rounds. Some of the topics we touch on are which players should be the first three picks (10:48), is Doug Baldwin worth reaching for (24:54), who should fantasy owners aim for after the top 20 (39:04), are Joe Mixon or Jerick McKinnon worth grabbing at the end of the second round (43:31), and is Kareem Hunt (58:48) a lock to be an RB1?
Pat Fitzmaurice from TheFootballGirl.com joins the show today to discuss some players whose ADPs are either too low of too high. Is Jordan Reed's (17:00) relatively high ADP actually warranted? Are both the public and the experts still too high on Julian Edelman (26:33) despite his already low ranking and draft cost? Is there a safer receiver in Detroit than Marvin Jones (54:24)? We offer insight into all these questions and tackle many others in today's episode.
We discuss our favorite deep sleepers heading into the season, many of whom usually go undrafted. Ricky Seals-Jones was very good in limited playing time last year (8:40), Sam Bradford may have QB1 potential (17:34), and Mike Williams is far too overlooked in drafts (20:05). Plus, Jordan Wilkins has the skills to win the Colts' starting RB job (36:46), and Geronimo Allison (49:02) starts for an offense with "the greatest quarterback in the history of the world."
Scorching Hot Takes + LeSean McCoy Fallout (Ep. 212)
Today, we spend most of the show giving our top fantasy football hot takes, but first, we discuss who fantasy owners should expect to step up in Buffalo if LeSean McCoy is unable to play (06:34). Some of the scorching hot takes mentioned are Kareem Hunt finishing outside the top-20 RBs (11:57) and Alex Smith producing more fantasy points than Jimmy Garoppolo (36:52). We later follow that up with in-depth analysis on the pros and cons of drafting Greg Olson (43:37) and Alex Collins (50:24).
Sirius XM Fantasy Radio host and Her Fantasy Football co-founder, Brandon Marianne Lee, joins us to examine which players are most worth reaching for. Before we get to the meat of the show, the gang tackles your always interesting Listener Mailbag questions (13:05). Later on, we go in-depth on Royce Freeman (32:07), ponder why Michael Gallup is still largely undervalued (48:30), and explain why Sammy Watkins may be worth buying shares of again (53:42).
2017's top draft expert, Jake Ciely, joins the show to discuss which players have great boom or bust potential. We kick off our discussion on polarizing players by analyzing the expectations for Jimmy Garoppolo (8:22). Later, we break down what to make of the Packers' RB situation in light of Aaron Jones' suspension (34:53), Allen Robinson's "boom" potential (44:07), and if Evan Engram can reproduce his surprising rookie season (57:17).
The Fantasy Footballers' Jason Moore joins us to discuss which players should be avoided in drafts. Deshaun Watson (3:03), Derrick Henry (20:51), and Allen Robinson (44:37) are being taken too high, but we disagree on whether Leonard Fournette (29:46) should be avoided. We also give our insight on intriguing topics, like if Lamar Jackson is worth a flier (17:02), what Sony Michel's upside is (32:50), and whether DeAndre Hopkins is actually being overvalued (53:12).
JJ Zachariason's Rankings vs. Expert Consensus (Ep. 208)
JJ Zachariason is one of the most well-respected fantasy experts in the industry and he's joining our show today to discuss players he's higher and lower on compared to our expert consensus rankings. Before we get started, Tags and JJ are competing in a quick game of name that player. Play along to see if you know who we're talking about based on the clues given (4:11). We're then going position by position by position QB (21:35), RB (27:51), WR (37:03), and TE (51:28) and getting JJ's thoughts.
If you're considering playing in a best ball league, you're in luck. We're giving you a first hand preview of how a draft happens from start to finish including what a best ball league is (4:36), why taking WRs early can create problems (21:13), how your strategy may need to shift mid-draft (30:28), and which players we like as sleepers, busts and our general favorite plays. Listen in and be sure to let us know on Twitter whose team you like more.
Summer is officially here and that just means we're getting closer to the fantasy football season. If you haven't run a mock draft recently, we've got your back and you can see how our teams turn out as Bobby and Tags pick from the sixth and seventh slots in a 12-team, Half-PPR league. Saquon Barkley (12:09) and Mike Evans (14:41) are the first two picks for both guys, but things start looking different from there.
We're back to break down the recent minicamps and Greg Smith from TwoQBs.com is joinings us to discuss potential fantasy impact. Is Tyrod Taylor primed to become Cleveland's de facto starting QB (4:05)? With Andrew Luck throwing footballs once again (15:49), how high will his ADP climb (20:16)? We then spend the rest of the show answering some intriguing Listener Mailbag questions (27:58).
Justin Boone from theScore.com joins the gang as we discuss some potential breakout candidates this season. We start the show by pondering some intriguing questions, like whether contract years actually matter for fantasy production (10:09), and what exactly qualifies as a "breakout" season (19:04)? The guys then switch gears and examine why specific players such as Pat Mahomes (22:49), Aaron Jones (34:14), and Kenny Stills (45:24), among many others, are primed to become valuable fantasy assets in 2018.
Early Draft Bargains + Edelman Replacements w/ Jeff Ratcliffe (Ep. 203)
Pro Football Focus' Jeff Ratcliffe joins the show as we discuss which players are bound to shoot up draft boards before most drafts are underway. But first, we dissect some Patriots news as we project which wideout would get the most targets in Julian Edelman's absence (7:30). Geronimo Allison may be the biggest bargain in drafts right now (41:50), but is Josh Gordon really being undervalued, and how many targets can we expect him to receive (57:19)?
Michael Moore from Pro Football Focus and the Dynasty Slant podcast joins the gang as we embark to show you which tight ends experts are either overlooking or gazing upon too much. We discuss the Colts' tight end battle between Jack Doyle (10:44) and Eric Ebron (11:40). Tags isn't a fan of Evan Engram's current ranking (19:01), and Bobby has concerns about Trey Burton (22:18). The trio breaks down Jordan Reed's value and risk (43:12). To conclude, Bobby thinks Kyle Rudolph is a safe option (51:36).
FantasyPros' own expert, Jody Smith, teams up with Bobby and Tags to shine some light on which quarterbacks are ranked either too high or too low based on our expert consensus rankings. Despite his track record, Tom Brady (21:59) is someone Bobby and Tags figure will struggle to produce up to his ranking, however, the gang can't fully agree on whether Carson Wentz is overvalued (39:23). In contrast, Jody is all-in on Dak Prescott (53:43).
Footballguys.com expert, Sigmund Bloom, joins Bobby and Tags in our 200th episode to scour through the wide receiver expert consensus rankings and highlight notable overvalued and undervalued wideouts. Tags and Sigmund disagree on whether DeAndre Hopkins is overvalued (17:47) and the trio vouch for DeVante Parker (43:27).
Today, Bobby and Tags spend this super-sized edition of the FantasyPros Football Podcast shining some light on which rushers are either ranked too high or too low. Bobby shows his love for both Aaron Jones (55:00) and Ty Montgomery (57:18), but not before showing his concern about the rankings of Alvin Kamara (13:14). Tags instead justifies his decision to take Alvin Kamara over David Johnson (15:21) and goes on a pessimistic rant about Jay Ajayi's generous ranking (30:21).
With the NFL Draft far away in the rearview mirror and OTAs now underway, Bobby and Tags run through another dynasty mock draft to give you an idea of who will be available at every point in the draft, and what kinds of decisions you'll be forced to make. Bobby and Tags discuss who they think should get taken first overall (13:27), and delve into how your first two picks should shape your strategy for the rest of the draft (21:52).
We've done plenty of rankings and dynasty shows in the past few weeks so we're changing gears and naming our favorite stats that you need to know heading into this fantasy season. But first, we're answering a listener question about who to draft between Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs (6:49). We've got plenty of players to discuss when it comes to late round targets in redraft leagues (13:55). There's not much to say about who's number one, but everyone else in the top 10 can be a bit more tricky. We're getting into the details on why JJ has Rashaad Penny as his #2 (8:45) whereas Tags has Sony Michel there (11:41). Ronald Jones (15:43) and Derrius Guice (19:11) round out the top 5, but we're not stopping there.
Ranking rookie quarterbacks and tight ends can be harder than it seems, especially when you're in a startup dynasty league and deciding whether you should take an established veteran or one of the up and coming rookies. Fortunately, we're having some fun chatting with Mike Wright of The Fantasy Footballers to cover all your dynasty startup questions (15:19) as we break down the top five options at the quarterback position (29:26) and top five at tight end (46:38).

The Super Bowl was one for the ages and we're already looking forward to the 2017 season. We're excited to have Pat Daugherty of Rotoworld joining us to talk about even more football as we dive into our early consensus rankings available now at FantasyPros.com. We're going tier by tier as Bobby and Pat talk Le'Veon Bell or David Johnson at #1 (2:57), which guys stand out in each tier, and some intriguing names further down the list (18:56).
Bobby and guest, Dan Harris, discuss who could be the surprise player for the Pats on Sunday (7:35), what to expect from their crowded backfield (8:52), and the heavily debated topic of whether or not Tom Brady is now the best QB ever (12:15). And we can't talk about this matchup without going into just how good this Falcons' offense is (17:04). For all of you who are looking forward to the next season already, we've got you covered as we make 2018 predictions (25:13) before taking a look at some of the prop bets for this weekend (28:20).
We're taking our final show of the season down to Southern California as Bobby breaks down the weekend slate with Doug Norrie of Daily Fantasy Sports Rankings. With limited options in a two game slate, find out which players you should pay up for.
We're back this week with our Divisional Round DFS coverage. With four games on the slate again, we're going to name every player that's worth considering as you build your lineups ahead of kickoff. To help, we've got Jared Kwart of FantasyCruncher joining us to go matchup by matchup starting with Seattle heading to Atlanta (2:15) to take on Matt Ryan (3:18), Julio Jones (3:36) and Devonta Freeman (4:39). On the other side of the ball, Russell Wilson (10:37) and Doug Baldwin (11:45) are the offensive leaders, but it's hard to forget about Thomas Rawls (13:10) after last week. The second game that we're breaking down has the Texans visiting the Patriots. Outside of C.J. Fiedorowicz and Ryan Griffin (26:31), Bobby and Jared aren't wasting time on any Houston players, but if you're wondering which Patriots to use, they've got you covered starting with Tom Brady (19:13) and LeGarrette Blount (21:08). The third game features the Steelers at Chiefs (27:15) and you can call it "chalky", but Antonio Brown and Le'Veon Bell are without question the studs to use (29:33). To finish out the show, they're looking at how unstoppable Aaron Rodgers (38:41) is as he heads to Dallas to take on Dak Prescott (40:40) and Ezekiel Elliott (41:24). Don't miss a second of this player packed episode.
We're here with our first ever playoff podcast and Justin MacMahan of Daily Fantasy Insider joins host, Bobby Sylvester to break down the four matchups this weekend. Not all the matchups are pretty, and in some cases, they're downright ugly, but we're covering all the big names starting with the G-Men visiting Green Bay (3:56) as the two talk about Paul Perkins (5:07), Aaron Rodgers (7:46), Eli Manning (8:23), Odell Beckham (9:59), Jordy Nelson (11:28), Ty Montgomery (14:17) as well as a few smaller names in Aaron Ripkowski (5:51), Sterling Shepard (13:15) and Geronimo Allison (13:39). Then it's arguably the worst playoff matchup of the season with the Raiders and Texans facing off (15:05). While there aren't many appealing plays, hear what Bobby and Justin have to say about Latavius Murray (18:26), Lamar Miller (19:22), DeAndre Hopkins (21:00) and the two Raiders receivers (21:13). The Lions will head to Seattle in a great matchup and you'll want to hear about why Doug Baldwin (24:17), Golden Tate (27:56), and Anquan Boldin (28:19) could all be solid plays. To close the show, the Steelers should rack up points against the Dolphins (32:51) and it'd be foolish to not have any Steelers in your lineup, namely Antonio Brown (34:04) and Le'Veon Bell (34:44).
