The Live Awake podcast helps bring you back to your grounded center through reflection and guided meditation. This podcast lends a new outlook to some of life's hard landscape. Perspective is everything, and by choosing to live awake to all that blooms in front of us we begin to live a more empowered life where joy becomes our natural state of being rather than something we occasionally stumble upon. Through living awake we become conscious participants in our life’s unfolding. At the end of each episode you will be guided through a short meditation on the topic at hand to help loosen the spots we can feel victim to. By doing this we come to understand we can choose not our usual, painful unconscious habits but instead to live from a place of grounded awareness, free from suffering. Live awake is for all those devoted to their hearts, devoted to the soul behind their ribs that came here to grow and expand, to all those devoted to learning, respecting and honoring the ways they are being called to do so. It is a place where one can come to close their eyes and rest a while on their breath, and see all they trouble and toil alongside is truly a gold lined cloud, holding a message of great hope and learning cradled within it.
Within each action, each thought, each word spoken, each moment, live two realities, two options: one brings flow, connection, a feeling of uplift, the other a heavy blanket that compresses spirit and heart.
We through our days, are feeling either the winds of uplift or are compressing our bodies and selves. It is time to remember, your bodies own wisdom. To remember the way it feels and responds to your moments, so you may live intentionally as you desire.
To remember your trusting vantage is to remember life is in your favor, you are in your favor. It is to remember there are no wrong choices and that all is conspiring to bring you into love.

It’s time to remember now, that you my dear one, were born worthy. I know you have been taught to search for this worth, taught to find ways to prove your value, find ways to be so that you are given, but dearest love, this was an accident…a teaching that was instilled in us, by those lost to their beauty and given worth as well.
Underneath the knots, and noise sits a loving, unaffected presence and universal heartbeat leading us each, to this same place.
Even in our greatest despair, even in our most gutted places we are not just held, but uplifted, urged, encouraged, shown the truth underneath it all. No matter the size of pain, there is a stillness, a place of deep love always trying to lift you above the unconscious pain you were forced to feel.
Presence, this word: overused and rarely embodied. Yet paradoxically the home of what we are committing our lives to finding.
Happiness is the highest desire of human beings, yet somehow seems to be the most illusive of pursuits. We have been looking in all the wrong places, we have been searching beyond, when really it waits here bellow our feet, in the soft sigh of our most beloved, in the pearl of dew on the morning grass, in the most simple of things that live vibrantly alive before and within.
This episode explores the immense gifts always found in the present moment.
This week we take small steps toward weaving more truth into all the places we are not living it already. We learn the importance of taking care of the peace within, and discover the value of becoming more whole in being and life.
Behind the dense hurt and bondage, lives another part of you. Standing tall, feet strongly planted in the earth, palms turned to face the sky. Earth rejoicing around its feet. Heart loud, clear, resolute. Eyes wide open.
There inside of you a wondrous part of you is calling you to step into the land of your great, un-bounding potential, freedom and abundance.
This episode works to empower the part of you that wants to be more alive, awake and vital
Don’t forget how uncomplicated your life can be, that you my dear one came here to love. And if given the chance, you would do it all over again, only the next time to choose more of the love you denied the first time.
When is the last time you closed your eyes and told yourself that you are loved, that you are heard? When was the last time you took the time to give to yourself, what you endeavor to give others?
Self love is often the last thing on our 'to do' lists and often the hardest to give to our self. This episode carves out some space for us to do just that, and explores why it is so very important for us to do.
Anger and warring shows us we are afraid. Shows us we are trying to protect our vulnerability and softness. Your walls are there to stop you from feeling, to distract you from hurt. But feeling your softness, returning to your nature is the only thing that will set you free. The only thing that will feed your life in the ways it is asking.
There are times in life where we must endure in order to be born into more wholeness. Times in our life where we must wait out great storms of unknown. Traverse through unfamiliar landscape. Wait in quiet submission and surrender.
To make sacred means to hold you life as an exquisite masterpiece, each moment blessed with the capability to bring your daily doings into the divine space and place of sacred hands. By the use of attention, small prayers, ceremony.
This episode explores how your life can be transformed by creating sacred space for all you go through.
Starting season two off with some gratitude. This episode is a reminder that everything is a gift, a raucous, riotous, astonishing gift for you to revel in. There is no right and wrong, no good and bad, no must be’s, this is it. It is a tale of fervent love. A tale of how you learned to discover the immense beauty living inside of you.
I know you have tasted the sun on your skin and inhaled with complete trust, and that you too at times, find it hard to move without knowing what’s next, that at times life feels paralyzing.
I know you live in the tear between these two worlds. Between the dark and the light, between trust and distrust, between love and hatred, between acceptance and resistance, between control and faith, between sun soaked mornings and dark forests.
This week we explore the elements of being human, of living in both trust and disconnect and how to be gentle with ourselves in the process.
When we reach our limits in love, in the stillness of nature, in winter, what would it look like if we stepped one step closer into it rather than, as we so habitually do, away? When we’ve reached our breaking point what could these places of discomfort bring us, if we choose instead to explore them further?
There is richness there, hiding at our borders, hiding in the places we don’t care to look, avoid or find our greatest challenge in facing with grace rather than resistance. If we could learn to wander in instead of away, if we crossed our road lines into the unknown territories we have called too boring or uncomfortable, what could we find?
I wish someone had told me, when I first began my journey into a life of my own, that where I needed to begin, was sitting on the floor, with my eyes closed. I wish someone had told me that my first step, the first step anyone must take is inward.
I wish someone had told me when I felt I had nothing to offer the world, that all I needed to do, was sit down and breath. That all I needed to do was learn the practice of opening to and discovering the true self, sitting inside of me, quietly, and that from there the rest would come easier.
Our entire lives we search for meaning, for answers for something to show us which way to go, a map drawn out just for us. Our moments of inspiration is the map. These are the markers, the landing points for us to explore. These blinks, or images that bring a song to our hearts are the gate keepers of our souls here to guide us in the exact direction we have been fumbling around in the dark for.
This inspiration that eked past our borders and thick brick walls has a great purpose. It has surpassed all of our defenses for it is holding great wealth cupped in its hands.
Often change can catch us off guard. It comes like a gust of strong wind and blows away the ideas and structures we have worked so hard at building. Sitting in the rubble we tend to forget the part of us that had been crying out for this very thing. We wish we could take back our secret prayers and scramble to put back the pieces of the comfortable existence we once had.
When faced with great change we must trust what comes budding forth. We must quickly release our grasp on the old and familiar in order to plant our new garden. Resisting change is futile. The longer we fight our current and therefore only reality, the longer we remain in limbo, trapped somewhere between the past and future, far from the present. All change has been called forth from our soul our lesson is to learn to honor the knowledge of your divine being.
As we grow, the world of form presents before us a barrage of different scenarios that dance into frame. Each one inspiring us to exude more of our love or make us retract or withhold. To those we give love, we and them grow more full, creating more of that loving feeling. To those we close and call hateful words, both we and them become small and less luminous.
Gradually, without knowing we give small portions of our power away to each such scenario which has made us feel closed or restricted or condemning. In the act of doing so we unknowingly yet willingly hand to it a small pouch of our most precious gift. Slowly, our free spirits become feeling stuck and unable to enjoy the gifts of our life. Something seems to be paralyzing our joy.
This weeks episode helps us travel to the places we have become divided, break the attachment to the these places, and in so doing return to our wholeness.
“We can relax and relate to life with faithful knowing that if we cease to act, life itself will not cease. It may in fact grow full.” This phrase has the power to strike fear in the hearts of many for we have become so afraid of entering the place stillness and
non-doing, that the very prospect of it triggers an unhealthy avoidance to this very place within us.
There are cycles we are ignoring. There is a spirit world we are forgetting the language of. All life needs rest and incubation. All life needs time bellow the surface, where it can breathe itself full and round, where it can reconnect with its nature and sprout again in its flushed form. Just as you can not force flowers to continually bloom, the same is true for all human beings. There is great value in letting go and dropping down. We must learn to remember, from time to time to be like the tree in the winter.
Dear women of the world let me remind you of the ocean of strength that lives within you. Rest a while and listen as I tell you of the great powers resting there on your hips, on your breast, in the fibers that twist and twine within your flesh, of the greatness you possess in which I think you need to be reminded.
What if I told you freedom isn’t a destination, not an idea or ideal or dream? It is ours, in this moment, living within each of our breaths.
History and the stories we have chosen are the very things that stand in the way of our joy and freedom. The past, even just a minute ago, has gone, yet we remain in the woes we have so complicatedly wrote. Its easier for us to hold on to the idea that someone else is responsible for our unhappiness, than to open our arms up to the wide open sky and say I don’t need this pain anymore. We are afraid to let go, and instead hold tight to everything we wish to resolve within.
This episode aims to help us move from a place of being fixed in suffering to entering back into our intended state of freedom.
This episode tells the story of a girl who learned to stop running from her fear and instead asked it from where it came and what it was wanting her to hear.
When anxiety or tension swell in our bodies we often resist, fight or avoid them, we rarely question what what it came to reveal. And even more rarely, consider these emotions as messengers of love. Nothing in our lives is meant to be feared or forced away, acceptance and exploration of these things we experience is our way to find peace in our lives.
The calls from your soul hold your greatest wealth, your greatest life, and your very dreams. What is worth more than that recognition? What is worth more than the gifts of life that are seeking to find you? How much longer are you willing to starve your soul? To starve the life that longs to live through you? This episode empowers us to allow our soul to lead the way and guide us to our best possible life.
Surrender means to give up, abandon, relinquish, to wave the white flag. What a beautifully divine word. A word we should choose at every chance we can remember, for as the story goes, we are not in control, we are floating on a cosmic river carried from the stars, into our mothers womb, out into the world, where we then resume the same course, only now grounded in body.
This episode helps let go of our worries and fears. It reminds us that we are supported and that life is unfolding just as it should.
Harmony is our most natural and desired form of existence. Often when asked, how we wish our lives could be better or different, at the core we long for a harmonious and nurturing relationship with self, others and with our inner and outer worlds. This episode looks at how we each have the power to restore our health and the health of the world through choosing to live in harmony with everything around us.
This episode explores the reality that we are here to grow and expand as souls and that everything we experience is serving as our vehicle, our mainline to an expanded version of Self.
We are taking part in a brilliant transaction in which put before us in our lifetime is everything our soul has called forth in order to find truth, and liberation from its suffering and confinement.
